Apply today and be part of shaping the future of our Primary Packaging Portfolio! The position Our department is facing an increased number of new projects, as new primary packaging components and systems are to be developed to accommodate the increasing pipeline of Novo Nordisk.
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving projects forward.
The project ranges in complexity and type.
Some might be implementation of new Primary Packaging items across production facilities worldwide, while others might be implementation of new internal processes to comply with new pharmaceutical regulations You interact with a wide range of stakeholders both inside and outside Novo Nordisk.
E.g. local teams, international sites, and Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMO) to specify Primary Packaging Specifications, implementation at production sites, as well as suppliers to Novo Nordisk. Due to the strategic nature of the projects, you actively engage with senior leadership across Finished Products – both at headquarters as well as across the manufacturing network.
Your key responsibilities include: Developing solid project plans for Primary Packaging materials from initial to final phase of our supply chain projects lifecycle, meeting objectives, milestones, and cost Leading a project team consisting of many different professional standpoints and varying departments/areas globally Designing and bringing life to the new supply chain setup required to succeed with the project objectives Identifying key stakeholders, proactively engaging, and challenging stakeholders in dialogue across business areas Communicating project progress/performance to all relevant stakeholders and addressing issues to management in a timely manner The current office location is Bagsværd; however, the department will be relocating to Taastrup in 2026. Qualifications To be considered for this position, we imagine you: Hold a master’s degree in engineering, natural science, supply chain, business administration, physics, material science, or another relevant discipline Bring relevant project management experience in a comparable setting Possess process, change, and stakeholder management skills, coupled with a continuous improvement mindset Thrive in a dynamic environment and quickly adapt to changing circumstances Display fluency in both written and spoken English It would be considered as a strong advantage if you have knowledge of foils, blister packs, bulk containers or cartridges, vials, syringes, or caps, along with experience in requirement/system engineering, safety risk management, and quality specifications in the pharmaceutical business. Additionally, familiarity with GMP requirements within the pharmaceutical industry, primary packaging, or material engineering will be a significant plus.

You work in a structured manner and take ownership of your assignment.
With your analytical and problem-solving skills, you can analyse different solutions, both in the scoping phase as well as during the project.

Lastly, you possess strong communication and stakeholder management skills that enables you to build strong relations across the organisation. About the department You will join the Material Man Dev within Product Supply Sourcing Operations, which consists of 100+ employees organised in 4 departments.
We are responsible for development and implementation of complex materials (raw materials, excipients, Primary Packaging materials, etc.) from development to production and maintain documentation on existing materials.
We cooperate with a variety of functions, including Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control, Device R& D, QC laboratories, Quality Assurance, various Novo Nordisk production sites, and a range of external suppliers and CMOs.
