Job ID: 28470 We are looking for an impactful and inspirational colleague with audit experience and knowledge of regulation and best practice for management of market and counterparty credit risk to join the market and counterparty credit risk audit team.

About our team Meet the GIA Market & Counterparty Credit Risk team.

Our role is to assess if market and counterparty credit risk is managed in line with risk appetite, ECB expectations and establish whether Nordea is adhering to key regulations, and thereby contribute to the delivery of GIA’s project portfolio in audits of key risk management processes and frameworks in both 1st and 2nd Line of Defence.

Our team is a part of Group Internal Audit (GIA) - an independent unit mandated by the Nordea Board.

Our purpose is to support the Group Board and Executive Management in protecting the assets, reputation and sustainability of the Nordea Group.

We do so by evaluating and reporting on Nordea’s risk management, control environment and governance processes to ensure that the Group achieves its business objectives.

What you’ll be doing Main responsibilities in this role: Planning and execution of audit projects, and follow up on previous audit findings in accordance with GIA's methodology, as a project lead and/or a project team member Building and maintaining a network of relevant stakeholders within Nordea Support in ad-hoc tasks, the update of the risk assessment, audit strategy and annual audit plan, and share knowledge within your area of responsibility in GIA Contributing to continuous risk assessments to direct assurance activities towards the significant risk areas Who you are This is the right role for you if you are an experienced auditor or risk manager with high ethical standards, who is organized and has the drive to achieve high quality deliveries for you and your team.

You should be comfortable taking ownership of your work to ensure timely deliveries.

As the area is constantly changing, you must enjoy acquiring new knowledge and acquainting yourself with new best practice and regulation.

Your background and skills include: You have at least 5 years of either audit or oversight risk management experience Knowledge of the evolving regulatory environments relating to market and counterparty credit risk management areas and models (IMM, SA, FRTB) Experience with data and data analytics, technology and model risks University degree in Auditing, Economics or related quantitative fields Fluency in written and spoken English, fluency in any of the Nordic languages will be considered an advantage It would be ideal if you also: Possess professional certifications (CIA, CISA, CPA, CFA or other related) or is willing to attain one Have respect for other people’s knowledge and professionalism and strong collaborative skills so you can respectfully point out where you see controls are missing Have strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with senior professionals on complex matters Have an analytical and structured way of working, and ability to apply sound judgement in your work What we offer People come here when they want to get somewhere.
