The Position As the Head of the GCM Project Management Office, you will oversee a variety of responsibilities with increasing importance due to our growing number of intricate projects to outsource and their significant impact on our business.
You will develop and implement team priorities to enhance project execution and effectiveness, while leading and managing a team of governance and control experts who guide the pipeline of new projects.
This includes ensuring a solid foundation for project approval, monitoring, and control during planning and execution, as well as smooth approval and handover to operations.
An essential part of your role is establishing and maintaining effective communication channels with stakeholders, monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of priorities, and making necessary adjustments to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
You will build and nurture positive relationships with stakeholders, especially within Novo Nordisk and at Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs), to encourage collaboration and trust.
Your team will work closely with the project organization and numerous stakeholders, utilizing a portfolio management system that supports our governance, project execution, and reporting.
The PMO plays a crucial role in developing and securing the use of methods, tools, and processes in close collaboration with stakeholders at all levels to secure robust project delivery by selecting the right portfolio and ensuring the best possible conditions for executing projects.
Qualifications To excel in this role, you'll need: A relevant degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
3-5 years of leadership experience as well as project management and/or portfolio management experience, preferably from heading up a PMO and managing major projects in the pharma biotech business or any other highly regulated industry.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
Business understanding and knowledge of production processes, governance and regulatory requirements.
Fluency in English and the ability to guide and motivate teams, ensuring collaboration and effective communication.
Additionally, you excel in conveying project updates, setting expectations, and tracking progress.
You are adept at adapting to changing business needs, priorities, and timelines.
Your strong analytical skills enable you to evaluate data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
Furthermore, your understanding of budgeting principles and financial management allows you to effectively allocate resources and track project expenses.
About the department GCM plays a crucial role in Novo Nordisk, focusing on bringing external capabilities to life and providing viable alternatives and additions to our internal production.
