The position In External Supply, we are on a digital transformation journey to leverage the way we operate our business.
To help us succeed in our ambition to sustain a robust and transparent supply chain, we are looking for a data-driven person to join our exciting journey.
As our new Data Engineer, you will lead the creation of a strong data foundation centered around our Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) and vendors to support our ambition of having full end-to-end visibility into our external supply chain and quality performance. Your key responsibilities include: Connecting the dots between multiple data sources to collect the insights needed by the business Creating, maintaining, and effectively managing sustainable data models supporting decision-making Playing a key role in establishing an integration platform to incorporate external data into our foundation to further Facilitating the processes on topics such as inventory forecasting or supplier performance monitoring Driving continuous improvements by collaborating extensively with teammates and engaging in knowledge sharing through demos, co-development, and sparring In this position, you will work with the latest technologies and have the opportunity to thoroughly learn our IT landscape and the supply chain footprint of Novo Nordisk.
Your success depends on your collaboration skills, ability to understand your stakeholders, and knowledge of our processes. Qualifications To be successful in this role, we believe you: Hold a master’s degree in data engineering, software engineering, computer science, mathematics, or similar Bring a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position, with proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java Showcase expertise in ETL processes and tools for data manipulation (e.g., Databricks) and cloud-based data platforms such as Azure or AWS Have experience with Dev Ops principles, including continuous integration and delivery, source and version control, and Infrastructure Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK Possess strong communication and stakeholder management skills Display proficiency in both spoken and written English It would be considered as a strong advantage if you have experience within Agile working methodology or have been exposed to the pharmaceutical industry or supply chain operations.
As an individual, you bring strong problem-solving and analytical skills, along with a "can-do" attitude and excellent communication skills.
