If yes, our team, the Department of Molecular & Single Cell Pharmacology, is seeking a highly motivated Scientist or Research Scientist to join our efforts in developing novel medicines against CNS disorders. Specifically, the candidate we are looking for has a background in neuroscience combined with expertise in single-cell technologies (proteomics/transcriptomics/flow cytometry) and molecular biology.  The roleAs a recent PhD graduate within the neuroscience field, you will use your deep knowledge about single-cell methodologies and molecular biology to fuel drug discovery in the brain disease space. Working in the lab for various pre-clinical project teams, you will seek to confirm drug mechanism-of-action, generate pharmacological data at the single-cell level and validate targets. In addition, you will have the opportunity to mentor students and further develop through an ongoing focus on individual development to ensure your growth as a professional in the field of drug discovery. Your future teamYou will join a department of experienced scientists, technicians, and students where key values are scientific discovery and progress, collaborative spirit, and mutual respect. We work in a matrix set-up across four dedicated biology clusters: i) Synapse Biology and Neuronal Circuits, ii) Hormonal and Neuropeptide Signaling, iii) Protein aggregation, folding and clearance and iv) Neuroinflammation and Neuroimmunology. What you bring to the teamQualifications: PhD in Neuroscience with some post-doc or equivalent experience.Extensive hands-on expertise and deep understanding of single cell technologies, preferably a combination of single cell sequencing and flow cytometry (proteomics experience is an additional advantage).Hands-on expertise with molecular biology such as CRISPR, cloning or combinatorial indexing.Solid data analysis and visualization skills. R or Python programming abilities or other bioinformatics skills are ideal. Experience with mining and distilling information from public single-cell expression databases is an asset. Key responsibilities:Hands-on lab work to generate in vitro and ex vivo data to support the project pipeline.Be responsible for the department’s molecular biology tasks such as constructing plasmids, CRISPR projects, viral vectors and more. Secure the organization, visualization, and analysis capabilities of data. Participate in generating new target ideas for the pre-clinical project portfolio. Our promise to you  Lundbeck offers an inspiring workplace, passionate colleagues and a culture characterized as collaborative – a must to successfully bring our treatments through research and development all the way to commercialization and the people who need them.
