The digital transformation is a high priority to fuel our science with high quality data in a gen-AI enabled drug discovery practice.
Our Lab Operations Cluster consists of 7 teams that drives the modernization of our +300 laboratories globally.
The cluster and the agile teams are cross disciplinary, value and outcome obsessed.
The cluster works to shorten the time from experiment idea to insight by providing modern tools for experiment design, run, data capture and inventory and sample management and to allow for increased automation and digitalization.
As Release Train Engineer (RTE) you will be a part of the department with other RTEs, Scrum Masters, agile coaches and project managers.
We provide business outcomes through digital, data & IT deliverables.
We apply various methodologies and often takes outset in agile methodologies and mindset.
The department enjoys empowerment and autonomy and believes that it is the people’s differences, knowledge, and experience that create the joint strengths of the team.
The position In this role you will work in a cluster leadership team together with the Product Manager and the System Architect.
Your goal will be to create followership in your cluster, leveraging your experience and using your strong leadership skills to set direction and create high performing teams.
You will have a key focus on optimising the way we work agile, including ensuring optimal team size, composition, and resource allocation.
In addition, you also have the chance to oversee economy, vendor management and represent best practice in IT‑processes in general.
Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to: Be responsible for other agile activities such as managing and monitoring progress, system demos and retrospectives Support in solving escalated impediments from the agile teams Facilitate workshops and create well-defined demands As DD& IT R& ED is driving the agile transformation in Novo Nordisk, you will get the chance to connect and spare with many other RTEs across this business, coaches etc.

Qualifications As RTE in Research & Early Development in the Lab Operations cluster you have an interest in the daily life of a lab technician and understand how the digital products support our research ambitions.
To be successful in this role you need strong understanding of IT and ability to navigate the technology landscape with ease.
We imagine you also have: Minimum a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, chemistry, biology or another relevant field combined with 5+ years of experience as RTE, IT Program Manager or similar positions, preferably in an agile environment Proven experience in vendor management, negotiations and product lifecycle management, as well as in overseeing budgets Knowledge and experience from the research environment preferably within natural sciences Great communication skills to collaborate and communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation Fluency in written and spoken English Familiarity with the Agile methodology and concepts and a scaled framework as an advantage Working at Novo Nordisk Novo Nordisk is a global healthcare company headquartered in Denmark.
